Als Band "The KLF" (Kopyright Liberation Front) wurden Bill Drummond und Jimmy Cauty Ende der Achtziger Jahre schnell berühmt und nahmen mit diversen Hit-Singles auch eine Menge Geld ein. Später beendeten sie das Band-Projekt und arbeiten unter dem Namen "The K Foundation" als Künstlergruppe weiter.
Als The K Foundation verbrannten sie am 23. August 1994 eine Million Pfund Sterling in Bar. Dieses nicht öffentliche Ereignis wurde von ihrem ehemaligen Band-Roadie Gimpo gefilmt und floss in diesen Dokumentationsfilm ein.
